Many viruses are spread by email attachments. If you recieve an email attachment and are unsure if it's genuine, then follow the instructions below.
Save and scan for viruses
Save the attachment to your H:drive before you open it:
1. In the email, right-click on the attachment
2. Select 'Save As'
3. Select 'My Computer' and then a location in your H:drive (H:)
4. Scan for viruses by right-clicking on the attachment's location in the H:drive and selecting 'Scan for Viruses...’
5. Once the scan is complete and the scanner declares the file to be safe, then you can open the attachment.
