A field trip overseas offers a great opportunity for you to take part in activities that will allow you to learn more about your subject area in a new country.

Field trips can range in duration, from a few days to up to two weeks and can take form of an academic-led trip or conference for example. Costs will vary per field trip, so you should speak to your module leader if it's an academic-led trip or check with the organisation if it's a conference.

Academic-led trips and conferences can be for undergraduate and postgraduate students and can be included as part of your degree or as an extra-curricular activity.

A conference is a formal meeting arranged by a specific organisation or Westminster Society to discuss a particular topic or subject, these events normally take place over a few days.
