Electronic and Communication Engineering

Our expert knowledge of cutting-edge signal processing techniques and design methodologies of power-efficient integrated circuits (VLSI) is deployed in areas such as global navigation satellite systems (eg GPS and Galileo), communication systems, biomedical equipment or aviation industry.

We use our expertise in RF and wireless microwave systems to design components and circuits for the fourth generation communication systems. We engage in projects providing ICT infrastructure to remotely support vulnerable members of the society eg elderly, people suffering from chronic diseases such as Parkinson or those with restricted mobility. Much of our research is done in collaboration with other research institutions and industrial companies in the UK, Europe and globally.

The cluster operates well equipped research laboratories providing excellent in-house support for our research activities.
