Polish – Evening Language Course

Would you like to learn Polish in London? Join one of our part-time Polish courses at our central London Regent Street Campus – just a few minutes' walk from Oxford Circus.

Our beginner Polish courses start in October and January (2 hours a week) as well as April (1.5 hours a week). If you already have some knowledge of Polish you can also join part 2 or part 3 of the Beginner Polish course.

Who is this class for?

Polish Beginner is the first exposure to the language, allowing you to start to communicate.

  • Part 1 is for you if you have no or little previous knowledge of Polish.
  • You can join Part 2 if you have studied Polish for about 20 hours.
  • You can join Part 3 if you have studied Polish for about 40 hours.


You can book:

  • Part 1 for £267 (£297 after 31 July)*
  • Parts 1,2 and 3 together for £550 (£607 after 31 July)*

To book all three parts, please proceed with booking Part 1 and add Parts 2 and 3 to your order when prompted during the checkout process. Please note that purchasing 3 Parts together equates to one single transaction, therefore, we do not accept cancellation requests for Parts 2 and 3 individually. Cancellations requests must be made more than 16 days before the start of Part 1.

Course content

Our Polish lessons follow a communicative approach to language teaching, focusing on the language you need to communicate in authentic situations with an emphasis on speaking and listening. Our evening classes are taught by experienced language teachers who are native speakers of the language or equivalent.

Part 1


In this term, we will cover:

  • the alphabet
  • personal introductions (nationality/country, profession, interests)
  • numbers (0-100)
  • basic greetings and courtesies
  • the family
  • physical description and personality
  • days of the week


You will learn:

  • verbs in the present tense (part 1)
  • how to tell the grammatical gender of nouns ( ta kawa, ten rower ,to kino)
  • adjectives and nouns in the nominative case ( To jest młoda kobieta/To jest młody chłopak/To jest małe dziecko)
  • adjectives and nouns in the Instrumental case ( Ona jest dobra aktorką/On jest dobrym aktorem/Kuba jst dobrym dzieckiem)
  • personal Pronouns in the Instrumental case ( z nią/ z nim/ z nimi)

Part 2


In this term, we will cover:

  • hobbies and interests
  • daily routine
  • ordering food and drinks
  • traditional Polish cuisine
  • numbers (100-1000)


You will learn:

  • adjectives and nouns in the accusative case ( Lubię muzyke rockową/Lubie tego aktora/Lubię polskie kino)
  • adverbs of frequency ( często, od czasu do czasu, rzadko)
  • personal Pronouns in the accusative case ( Lubię ją/ Znam ich/Widzę go)
  • verbs in the present tense (part 2)

Part 3


In this term, we will cover:

  • telling the time
  • arranging meetings
  • shopping
  • expressing likes and dislikes


You will learn:

  • verbs of movement ( iść/chodzić, jechać/jeździć)
  • verbs “ to know” ( wiedzieć, umieć, znać)
  • adjectives and nouns in the genitive case (Nie lubię kawy/Idę do sklepu/Ide do kina)
  • personal pronouns in the genitive case ( Nie znam go/ Nie lubię ich/ Szukam jej.)
  • verb “to be” in the past tense

There may be slight content variations at the discretion of the tutor. We may, for example, include additional content when general progress is good, or vary content according to students’ interests. The distribution of content across parts may vary from one year to the next depending on the length of parts.
