Centre for Employment Research

The Centre for Employment Research (CER) focuses on three broad fields of research and has a history of work in each that is rated as ‘internationally excellent’ or ‘world leading’:

  • Skills, labour markets and programme evaluation
  • Employment Relations and employee voice
  • Equality and diversity

CER staff are involved in research projects commissioned by the UK government, the European Union, professional bodies and UK funding councils. We utilise both qualitative and quantitative methods in evaluation and applied research.
