Santander Universities SME internship programme

This internship programme provides you with access to a network of our top university graduates, who are available for three-month work placements.

If you're a fast-growth small or medium-sized enterprise you'll recognise the importance of attracting, retaining and managing the right talent for your business.

As part of the Santander Universities SME Internship Programme, we're offering your company the opportunity to hire our skilled and ambitious graduates temporarily to assist you with a strategic project.

How does it work?

After you tell us about the internship roles available in your company, we'll find you talented students and graduates eager to work hard and develop their skills in your organisation.

Selected students will work as employees on a fixed-term basis for three month, or part-time for six months. Santander will provide £1,500 to fund 50% of the project's costs and your company will be responsible for the remaining expenses.

Benefits for your business

By joining this scheme your company will:

  • get a different perspective on your projects from a new, motivated member of your team
  • gain insights from our graduates for a particular business area
  • receive funding from Santander to hire extra resources to help you deliver a project within a defined timescale

Eligibility

You're invited to participate in the programme if your company:

  • is a small or medium-sized UK business with less than 250 employees
  • has an annual turnover of less than £50 million
  • can define a project suitable for a student or graduate to work in-house for three months full-time, or six months part-time

Join the scheme

If you're interested in the programme, fill in our short online form with further details about the internships available at your company.

Your internship will be advertised to a talented pool of top students or recent graduates from the University. These students will then send their CVs to us and you'll interview and select the right intern for your company.

Once your intern has been successfully appointed, we'll get the funding from Santander in place for you.

Register your opportunities

You may need to register your organisation before completing the form. This will only need to be done once and after your organisation is registered, you can market paid internship or job opportunities directly to our student and graduates jobs portal.
