Energy Coordinator (Full time)

Virginia manages energy consumptions across the estate, developing strategies to reduce energy, whilst continuously monitoring and targeting our everyday use. She also ensures compliance with relevant legislation and strives for best practice. She works closely with other departments, such as Capital Projects and Maintenance, to ensure capital investment in energy is secured in order to achieve the University’s 2020 carbon reduction targets. 

She has a BA English Studies, BEd English Language Education from Hong Kong and an MSc Management from Imperial College Business School. She originally trained as an English teacher in Hong Kong but she has had a career change into energy management.

She is a qualified Low Carbon Consultant (LCC) and Energy Saving Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) lead assessor.

Virginia loves cooking in her spare time. She also likes bargain hunting. She knows where to get the freebies and best deals in town.
