About me

I first qualified in computer science and worked in the city in stock broker banking systems for 10 years. Then I made a career change.

I gained an honours degree in Osteopathy, then a Diploma in Phytotherapy and finally a Masters in Complementary Medicine.

I established and run the Bloomsbury Health Centre, a multi-disciplinary practice in central London in 1996. I also work for the Marylebone NHS Health Centre where I practice as an Osteopath and a Medical Herbalist.

My working week is divided into practice, lecturing and research/publishing

Teaching

I am a senior lecturer and a module leader at three London universities. I am a fractional lecturer at the University of Westminster, the University of East London and the London School of Osteopathy. My subject areas are:

  • Differential Diagnosis
  • Clinical Skills
  • Pathology
  • Anatomy and Physiology

Research

I have developed an audiovisual method for delivering clinical skills (physical examination procedures) and differential diagnosis.

The product is a series of multi-media recordings available in DVD and downloadable forms.

The published products come under 8 different titles and are available online or from bookshops. They are currently available at most medical schools and healthcare-related institutions.

My latest publication (to be published in Sept 2012) is based on Surface Anatomy and Palpation.
