Dr Ainurul Rosli is a Senior Lecturer in Strategy. She is also a researcher in residence with Big Innovation Centre focusing on Entrepreneurial Co-creation. Prior to joining WBS, she was a Lecturer in Entrepreneurship, Strategy and Innovation at University of Wolverhampton.
Her previous professional experience includes various strategy and innovation consulting work in London and abroad. Ainurul also has worked for several years with the R&D arm of a telecommunication company in Malaysia. She was a Sessional Lecturer at Birkbeck, University of London where she gained her PhD in 2013. She has an MSc in Operational Research from London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and a Bachelor in Financial Engineering (Hons) from Multimedia University, Malaysia.
Ainurul has secured major grants from European Life Long Learning Programme (2013-2015), British Academy of Management (2014-2015) and British Academy/Leverhulme (2015-2017). She also has won several competitive awards including a grant by the Malaysian government towards her PhD research; Ronald Coase Institute Fellowship and Dynamics of Institutions and Markets (DIME) Fellowship to name a few. Her work with her colleagues has won the Best Innovation paper awards at British Academy Management (BAM) 2015.
Ainurul teaches on a range of Entrepreneurship and Strategy courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at Westminster Business School.
Ainurul’s research explores interaction between actors (universities, businesses, government, intermediaries, and society); how they closely interact with each other throughout the innovation process to create value.

- Role of intermediaries in innovation ecosystem
- Measurement of the impact of university-industry collaboration
- Knowledge and value co-creation
