David Manlow is a Principal Lecturer in Criminology and is the Subject Area Leader for Socio-Legal Studies and Criminology. He holds a BA (Hons) in Sociology and Law from the University of Kent at Canterbury and an MSc (Econ) in Sociology from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He also has a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice. Prior to joining the University of Westminster he held positions at the University of Kent at Canterbury, the London School of Economics and Political Science and the Open University, for which he has acted as a teaching and learning consultant.
His main teaching and research interests are in the fields of Youth Justice, Cultural Criminology and Critical Criminological Theory. He is also engaged in pedagogical research and is particularly interested in assessment and learning.
