Rasha Hamdy A. Hussien ( 15 August 1974 ) , Egyptian diplomat in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, currently in a study leave to get a PhD degree in Politics and International Relation. She holds a Master degree in International and European Security from the University of Geneva (2014) and LLM in International Law from the University of Westminster ( 2005). She attended a number of training programs in the fields of international security and diplomacy in the NATO Defence College 2015, the Geneva Center for Security Policy (2014), the Olympia Summer School in Greece 2013, the Clingedale Institute for diplomacy and International Relations in the Netherland 2013, The International Institute for Humanitarian Law in San Remo –Italy in 2009 & 2011.
Her PhD project focuses on the obstacles hindering the modernization/democratization process in Egypt.
