Vlatka Hlupic is an international award-winning thought leader, a Professor of Business and Management, Director of the Emergent Leadership and Development research group and Director of the Executive Coaching and Leadership Development Programme at Westminster Business School, a former Adjunct Faculty at London Business School and founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Drucker Society, London. Vlatka is an author of a ground-breaking book 'The Management Shift - How to Harness the Power of People and Transform Your Organization for Sustainable Success' (Palgrave Macmillan, 2014), which was listed by Forbes as one of the top eight business books in 2014. She is the winner of the CMI Management Articles of the Year Award 2015, the winner of the Axiom Business Books Award (silver medal in the "Leadership" category) and has been nominated for the Thinkers50 Guru Radar and "Ideas to practice" Award.She was voted one of the Most Influential International HR Thinkers in 2015 and 2016 by HR Magazine (ranked at position 14) and has won the Croatian Woman of Influence Award as well as an Honorary Award from the Leadership Awards in 2016.
She received a PhD in Information Systems at the London School of Economics, as well as Dipl Econ. and an MSc in Information Systems from the University of Zagreb. She has published over 160 articles in journals (including an award-winning article in Harvard Business Review), books and conference proceedings mainly in the area of leadership, change management, knowledge management and business process modelling. Vlatka is an associate editor, a guest editor and a member of Editorial Boards for a number of international journals.
As a renowned professional keynote and TEDx speaker, she regularly presents at major business events worldwide. She is represented as a speaker by Speakers Associates. Vlatka has a multi-disciplinary interests and background. She is a Certified Master Coach, Licenced Master NLP Practitioner, Psychological Kinesiology Practitioner, Co-Chairman of the Academic Advisory Board of the Behavioural Coaching Institute and a selected member of the Round Table Scholar programme, one of the world's preeminent consortia of consulting professors. Vlatka is also a management consultant and Board adviser, helping organisations worldwide substantially to improve performance, engagement, innovation and profit. She has advised major international organizations including the House of Commons, GlaxoSmithKline, BP, Learndirect, Brand Velocity USA, the Drucker Institute USA, the Croatian Government and the Hungarian National Bank. Vlatka has been also acting as an expert adviser for a variety of research projects including projects sponsored by the Croatian, German and Thai Governments.
Vlatka has been contributing to variety of modules both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and has been a module leader for an MBA module "Personal and Professional Development".
Vlatka's multidisciplinary research interests include emergent leadership approaches in knowledge organisations, change management, knowledge management, complexity, business process modelling, personal and professional development and executive coaching.
