An initial career in curating photography at Camerawork London broadened to multi media presentation and personal exhibition working in Kendal Cumbria. Followed by a variety of UK shows at Photographers Gallery, Impressions York, Cornerhouse Manchester and Viewpoint Salford. Writing for Camerawork, Ten 8, Untitled, Art and Art education magazines. Key exhibitions: A Worlds Waste - Sellafield Cumbria and Nuclear Preprocessing (curator) national tour. Detached Dreams 10 Years of the Ideal Homes show, Design Museum London. The Great British Lay-by, pictures from the edge of the road. Docklands Heritage, Impressions national tour. Moma Oxford, South London Gallery.

Currently teaching Practice and Theory on Contemporary Media Practice BA(Hons) including curating, critical theory, photographic practice and theory. Admissions officer.
Curation and installation of CMP show in Ambika P3 and an array of other venues.
Previous teaching includes:~ Polytechnic of Central London, Birmingham City University, Middlesex University, East London University, City University, Harrow College of Higher Education.
2nd supervision for PhD in documentary photography.
Numerous external examining appointments: MSA University Cairo Egypt/Middlesex University, Central St Martins, University of Central Lancashire, University of Plymouth.
My work has always interrogated the relation between visual image and text as a way of subverting advertising, how the photograph tells a story and the centrality of the visual in culture.
Recently commissioned to update 30 year project on Ideal Homes show (originally shown at Design Museum London 1992) for Migrants- what does home mean to you? project. As co producer of three events exhibitions and conferences with Zia Fernandez Ibarreche. My role is as contributor of images, introductory speeches, specific address to audience of the above work and printing exhibition images.
These events in addition to raising the crucial issue of Migration in our times also empower contributors to make first exhibitions, including students who study at Westminster.
