REconfigurable FiLter-banks of Efficient Channelisation for Satellites (REFLECS) - European Space Agency - To be Completed in 2017
Member of the University of Westminster team on the European Space Agency (ESA) funded ARTES 5.1 activity partnered by Airbus Defence and Space. The main objective of the project is to improve flexibility in channel width and centre frequency for a useful number of channels to improve the effectiveness of on-board processed communication satellites, achieved without significant degradation in either digital filter-bank performance or efficiency compared to current methods and expectations.
Advanced Forest Fire Fighting (AF3) - European Commission funded FP7 project - To be Completed in 2017
Member of the University of Westminster team on the AF3 project, funded under the European Commission 7th Framework Programme carried out by a consortium of 20 members from 10 countries. AF3 intends to improve the efficiency of current fire-fighting operations and the protection of human lives, environment and property by developing innovative technologies to ensure the integration between existing and new fire fighting solutions.
