I am a part-time Language Coordinator for the Evening Language Programme. I have been teaching Spanish at all levels to adult students for many years in a number of private and public sector institutions including banks, colleges and government organisations. For many years I also worked as a personal tutor and assessor for PGCE and PTLLS trainee teachers. After completing my degree in Translation in Argentina and working in that field for some years, I trained to teach Spanish to adults at International House Barcelona. I later completed my PGCE (Institute of Education) and my MA in MFL Education (King's College London). Throughout my teaching career I have worked towards developing a range of effective practices and resources that can enhance teaching and learning. I am currently interested in how formative assessment can contribute to deep learning as well as in how the concept of formative assessment is perceived and conceptualised by language teachers and Higher Education professionals in general.
I teach Spanish at levels A2-B1 for the Evening Language Programme which offers language courses to general members of the public.
