Students as a resource

Opportunities to learn from the real world of work are critical in developing students as practical and capable managers. For the employer, student input provides a fresh approach and ideas, and can be an extremely cost-effective solution.

Internships range from eight weeks to a full year, and can be on an undergraduate or postgraduate level, giving employers flexibility in meeting any timing or skills set requirement. The employer provides a job with real responsibilities – our Business Experience Team supports the recruitment process and student/employer matching, plus ongoing management. You can also download our Employer's guide to employability programmes (pdf).

Full time international Masters students are matched with individuals working in a similar field who are willing to provide advice and information on UK practices and work culture.

Selected teaching programmes require live projects for student teams, supervised by an academic.

Westminster Business Consultants (WBC) is a student enterprise, and a member of the international JADE federation that can offer a professional and lower cost consultancy route for smaller projects.
