Translating Cultures is a multi-disciplinary research initiative which analyses the interaction between language and culture.
The initiative undertakes and supports:
- research into the complex contemporary relationship between culture and (applied) languages
- comparative analyses of diverse text and speech productions in various cultural and multicultural contexts
- seminars, workshops and conferences
- knowledge transfer between academics, policy-makers and practitioners
The department offers a Translating Cultures MRes combining the disciplines of translation and cultural studies.
