This, in turn, allows researchers to compare the kinetic characteristics of a lead antibody in an idealised in vitro environment.
It creates a more accurate picture of whether the desired characteristics of a lead antibody will be maintained in the presence of lipid, proteins and carbohydrates. It also identifies potential conjugate and off-target effects, avidity and internalisation of receptors, helping to select the right antibody lead for further development.
