Architecture and the Built Environment

As a former student of the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment, you join over 25,000 fellow alumni based in over 140 countries around the world.

Graduates from the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment have gone on to work in a range of industries both inside and outside the built environment sector. They include Nick Mason, Roger Waters, and Richard Wright (members of Pink Floyd), Sinclair Beecham and Julian Metcalfe (founders of Pret a Manger), Angela Brady (former President of the Royal Institute for British Architects), and Vicky Richardson (former Director of Architecture, Design and Fashion, British Council).

The Faculty's graduates go directly into employment with organisations as diverse as architecture practices, construction companies, estate agencies, tourism attractions, event management companies, planning departments, and transport organisations.
