Accountant, Mark davies & Associates
David has found the MBA elective Financial Strategy "extremely useful".
David is a financial accountant who was recently awarded Associate Financial Accountant membership of the Institute of Financial Accountants. Having graduated from the University of Arts with a BA Honours in Printing and Publishing Management in 1999, David built a successful career in the printing industry, becoming Operations Director at a prestigious security printing firm in 2007. Historical financial problems resulted in the company going into liquidation in 2009, a series of events which David describes as "a valuable learning experience" and which prompted his focus on financial management.
David completed Westminster Business School's MBA in 2009, and is now an accountant for Mark Davies & Associates, a boutique firm of Chartered Tax Advisors based in Chancery Lane, London.
The company has grown significantly over the past four years, and David has been pivotal in the development of the financial function, including implementing business practice software, and creating a full set of financial statements and financial management tools, such as cashflow reporting for profitability and budgets using variance analysis.
It's a role in which David has found the MBA elective Financial Strategy "extremely useful". David is very interested in starting his own enterprise in the near future, providing tax advice and compliance for budding entrepreneurs.
