5 July 2018

The University of Westminster Students’ Union 2016/18 team have won Officer Team of the Year at the annual National Union of Students awards ceremony yesterday.

Freya Thompson, Dan Seamarks, Ludovica Siniscalchi and Ethel Tambudzai received the Officer Team of the Year Award, which recognises the officer team that has worked most effectively to make change for the benefit or their student body or community.

The National Union of Students (NUS) champions students to shape the future of education, and create a better world.

The awards celebrate the work done by Students’ Unions across the UK andare an opportunity for Students’ Unions across the country to gain recognition for their efforts.

Freya Thompson, former University of Westminster Students’ Union President awarded at the ceremony, said: “We’re thrilled to have received this award, it shows that all the hard work myself and my team have shown over the last two years wasn’t wasted. Hopefully the Students’ Union will continue to achieve on a national stage so we can really show what Westminster can do!”

We are extremely proud of the Students’ Union team for all their outstanding work and contribution to deliver an excellent student experience at the University. #WeAreWestminster
