Alumna Emma Watson appointed by multi award-winning architectural practice Hodder+Partners
Architecture and Interiors 7 September 2017
The appointment of Emma Watson comes after the Plaza 1821 Liverpool Waters PRS scheme at Prince’s Dock by Hodder+Partners was recently approved by planners.
Emma joins Hodder+Partners from London-based Hugh Broughton Architects, where she was part of the team that recently completed the £6.3m Visitor Centre and Archive for The Henry Moore Foundation in East Hertfordshire.
Emma, who holds an Architecture Postgraduate Diploma Professional Practice (RIBA Part III) from the University of Westminster, has also previously worked on the £18m roof extension and internal refurbishment of the Treasury Building at The Honourable Society of the Inner Temple in London.
Emma said the reputation of Hodder+Partners across all sectors, including residential, commercial, education, healthcare, civic and leisure as well as interior design, masterplanning and Urban Design, is what attracted her to the practice.
Her last project before joining Hodder+Partners was the new Visitor Centre at Clifford’s Tower in York for English Heritage, which also included architectural interventions within the medieval tower.
Following the announcement of her appointment, Emma said: “I’m very excited to be joining Hodder and Partners as the practice is hugely respected, not just in Manchester, but across the architecture sector.
“My focus is very much on delivering high quality schemes, which I know is something Hodder and Partners is renowned for.”
