Degree courses and programmes

A degree from Westminster is an investment that offers exceptionally high returns; a qualification from a globally-respected University gained through a first class learning and living experience. Our graduates leave us not only with comprehensive knowledge of their subjects, but with the personal skills and confidence to succeed in their chosen careers, and a global network of friends and contacts.

Full degree programmes

The University of Westminster offers more than 300 programmes including foundations, undergraduate (Bachelors) and postgraduate (Masters and Research) degrees. All of our courses start in September, but we offer a number of January start postgraduate level courses as well.

The modular degree

Taught courses are modular, with students accumulating credits as they progress through a degree. A range of teaching and assessment techniques are used at all levels of study, and a comprehensive orientation at the start of every course helps you adjust to the new learning environment.

Teaching styles

The University uses a combination of teaching styles including lectures, seminars and tutorials. On taught courses you can expect to spend about 20 hours a week in seminars, lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions and project work. The remaining time is spent fulfilling assignments and in private study.

Visiting student programmes

We also offer a range of visiting student programmes, giving you the chance to come to Westminster for a semester or longer to take classes and experience London life. Alternatively, you can choose to come to Westminster over the summer and take part in our Summer School programme.

English language programmes and short courses

As well as full degree programmes you can come to Westminster to study English. Our EFL centre offers a wide range of English language courses throughout the year including pre-sessional English.
