Undergraduate entry qualifications
First year entry
All students applying for a Bachelors (BA, BSc, BEng, BMus and LLB) degree at Westminster must hold one of the following qualifications:
- Holders of a UK Foundation programme in a suitable subject area, usually with a minimum of 60% from our Associate colleges or other nationally recognised colleges of further or higher education.
- The Australian Senior Secondary School Certificate / School Leaving Certificate is considered eligible for entry onto a UK Bachelors programme if a tertiary entrance score/rating at a specified level has been achieved. Both the school leaving certificate and tertiary entrance ranking will be taken into consideration when evaluating your application.
- Holders of the Associate Diploma (2 year).
Second year entry
Students with the one of the following qualifications may be eligible for second year entry:
- Holders of a Diploma (3 year) will be considered for exemptions to the first year of a Bachelors degree courses (depending on the subject area).
Postgraduate entry qualifications
All students applying for a Masters degree (MA, MSc and LLM) at Westminster will be required to have one of the following qualifications:
- Holders of a good 4 year Bachelors degree (Honours).
- Holders of a 3 year Bachelor degree (Ordinary) may be considered for entry onto some postgraduate diploma or Masters courses where the applicant has very high grades or additional relevant work experience.
- Applicants without a first degree but with about 5 years relevant work experience may also be considered on an individual basis for some masters programmes.
Short-term study abroad / Exchanges at Westminster
If you are currently studying at university in Australia, but would like the opportunity to spend either a semester or a full academic year studying in London at the University of Westminster then the International Study Abroad or Exchanges programme is for you!
- You can choose modules (classes) from a broad range of different subject areas across the University and study alongside British and other international students.
- You will get full credit transfer for your studies at Westminster back to your home degree (provided you get approval from your home institution).
- You can choose to start your programme either in semester 1, starting in mid September, or semester 2 starting in January.
- If English is not your first language you can attend pre-seasonal language courses before joining classes.
