Once you’ve applied

Depending on the course you have applied to it could take from five days to two months for our admissions department to make a decision on your application. You should have received an acknowledgement shortly after submitting your application which includes your application reference ID (8 digits long). Please quote this in all communications with the University.

If you haven’t heard anything three weeks after the acknowledgement, please contact us and we’ll try and speed the process up. If we contact you to provide more information or outstanding documents please reply as soon as you can, otherwise it will delay the outcome of your application.

Admissions help

Each of the University's four sites has a dedicated Admissions Office, which can assist with inquiries about the status of individual applications.

The location where your course is administered is outlined in the prospectus.

Receiving your offer

There are two types of offers you can receive: conditional or unconditional. If your offer is conditional, usually depending on outstanding results for your qualifications, please send supporting documents confirming you have met the condition of your offer to the relevant admissions office. You will find contact details of the admissions office dealing with your application in your offer letter.

Deposits

Undergraduate and postgraduate offer holders liable for overseas fees are required to pay a £2,500 deposit (£2,000 for courses starting in January 2010). This will be deducted from the outstanding course fee due at enrolment. Please note that the deposit is refundable in case of visa refusal, subject to submission of satisfactory evidence.

Please also see our Fees and funding page.
