Student representation
As a student, you're encouraged to play a full part in the decision-making processes of the University - and there are many opportunities for you to do so, whether through your Course Committee, or other student-staff consultative forum, or through the Students' Union (UWSU).
Each University course has course representatives, who are students elected by their fellow students at the start of each academic year. Course representatives collect feedback from students on the course and present this feedback to Heads of schools, course leaders and other academic staff at committee meetings.
For an introduction to what course representatives do, watch the new course reps video on the Students' Union website
For more information on Course Committees, their role and function, have a look at the two short videos we have created to complement the induction workshops:
Induction workshops
Induction workshops and ongoing support for student representatives are provided by the Quality and Standards Team, the schools, and the Students' Union.
Details of induction sessions will be sent to student representatives at their University email addresses.Student Rep Handbook
