Launch of the Semester 1 online Student Module Evaluation (SME)

29 November 2011

Data collection period: 28 November 2011 – 13 January 2012.

The data collection period for the Semester 1 online Student Module Evaluation (SME), formerly the Module Feedback Questionnaire, is now open.

The module evaluation has been reduced to ten questions and should take students approximately three minutes to complete. The changes to the module evaluation question set and title were approved by the Learning, Teaching and Student Support Committee on 12 October 2011.

Eligible students have been invited to complete their evaluations online, which they can access via:

Approximately 40,000 online evaluations have been issued for Semester 1. In the past, we’ve received a good response to the initial invitation, but would ask all Module Leaders to encourage their students to take part as early as possible and to monitor response rates for their module(s) throughout the data collection period.

Deans of Schools and Heads of Departments will receive weekly response rate reports for each module, for onward circulation to Module Leaders.
