What Students Will Achieve @ MAD
Many graduates from the School of Media, Arts and Design work in senior positions in the creative industries. They include Michael Jackson - former Chief Executive of Channel 4, the fashion designer Marcus Lupfer, chart diva Karen Ramirez, John Woodward - Chief Executive of the Film Council and Chris Bailey - Creative Design Director at Burberry.
65% of the School's graduates go directly into employment in arts or media-related jobs with organisations as diverse as Sony UK, the BBC, Sky and a range of local and national newspapers. Two recent graduates remixed a recent Madonna single; others are working freelance or on short-term contracts in the worlds of film, photography, multimedia, graphic information design, journalism, broadcasting, fine art, animation and ceramics.
A significant number of graduates continue to further study at Masters or PhD levels. The School has highly rated research programmes in both Media Communication and Art and Design, where it has pioneered a programme of practice-based PhDs.
Some of our most successful graduates return to us as guest lecturers, while several of our research students have gone on to become lecturers and researchers within the School. Whatever your dream, to achieve it you will need talent, determination, commitment and tenacity; here at MAD we can do the rest.
