BA Medical Journalism

Length of course: 1 year full-time
Location: Harrow Campus
School: Media, Arts and Design

James DarlingThis is a unique degree: there is no other course specifically devoted to medical journalism in the UK. It's designed to prepare applicants for careers in medical journalism or to augment their medical careers and to provide an intellectually stimulating and demanding course of study.

The course aims to train students who have successfully completed a minimum of two years of the BSc Honours in Basic Medical Sciences (pre-clinical) in the highest standards of medical journalism. Afterwards, they may return to Medical School to complete their primary course. It runs for two 16-week semesters that commence in late September and early February. Successful applicants will be required to undertake specially modified modules derived from the University's existing Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism and one from the MA in Journalism Studies
