Doctoral Programme

Doctoral Programme 1The doctoral programme hosts a thriving intellectual community, with students from around the world researching in media, communications, cultural studies, music, arts and design.

We at CREAM provide a platform for diverse and challenging research aimed at making a mark both in the scholarly and artistic community.

Head of the CREAM Doctoral Programme is Dr Joram ten Brink.

We offer a wide range of facilities, including designated doctoral rooms with computer, email and internet access, extensive library access, research training, language training, as well as studio and laboratory space. Students are part of the Research Centre and, along with staff, take part in regular workshops and seminars.

Doctoral Programme 2We also host the Intensive European Programme for Doctoral Research in Communication, and the Doctoral Research Symposium (with Goldsmith's College London and the London School of Economics). These are exciting and popular annual events where students meet, interact and share their experiences of doctoral research.

Students graduated from the Centre for Research in Arts and Media (CREAM) have gone on to successful careers in the academic, media and creative professions.
