Alessandro is Lecturer in Media Industry and Media Policy. He joined CAMRI as a post-doctoral researcher in October 2007 working on an AHRC-funded research project on ‘The Production Ecology of Pre-School Television in Britain’ with Prof. Jeanette Steemers.

A former researcher for media consultancies, in 2007 he received his PhD with a thesis on ‘Broadcasting Policy in Italy’s Second Republic 1994-2006’. His research interests are in media policy and regulation and in the political economy of media.

Alessandro is Book Reviews Editor of Interactions: Studies in Communications & Culture (Intellect, forthcoming, 2009). Until 2008 he was a member of the editorial board of the open access journal Westminster Papers in Communication and Culture (WPCC), for which he edited a Special Issue on ‘Broadcasting Policy and Globalisation’ (2007).
