A former industry analyst for media consultancies, Alessandro joined CAMRI in 2007 and is currently Senior Lecturer. His main research areas are media policy and the political economy of media and communication. His work on broadcasting policy in Italy and on children’s television (with Jeanette Steemers) has appeared in books and academic journals (Media, Culture and Society, Convergence, Cultural Trends).
Alessandro is Book Reviews Editor of Interactions: Studies in Communications & Culture (Intellect). Until 2008 he was a member of the editorial board of the open access journal Westminster Papers in Communication and Culture (WPCC), for which he edited a Special Issue on ‘Broadcasting Policy and Globalisation’ (2007).
