I am very grateful to the University of Westminster, particularly to prof. Jason Chuah for offering me an opportunity to have internship in the International Chamber of Commerce United Kingdom and to participate in important processes going in business community.
The internship in the ICC UK has granted me an opportunity not only to apply my theoretical knowledge and to obtain new skills, but also it was worthwhile to be aware of and take part in business policy making process of the world business organization for the business community. During my internship, I conducted a number of research works on Islamic trade finance, UCP 600, URDG, INCOTERMS and etc. all of which were relevant to my master study and on this way I deepen my knowledge.
Another key advantage of this placement was dealing directly with business community, being aware of their needs and attitudes towards current legal issues. This factor has significantly influenced to my way of legal thinking and improved my skills of working with businesses as commercial lawyer.
On the other hand, participating in the seminars of the ICC UK and meeting with the world famous lecturers and experts was useful gaining new knowledge, and as well as connections.
And finally, the important thing was meeting such wonderful stuff of ICC UK who was very friendly and kind to me and keen on helping me for obtaining new skills.

Name: Marc Wenger Year of Graduation: 2006 Name of Award: Master of Laws (LLM) in International Commercial Law
Hi there. My name is Marc Wenger. I graduated with the LLM class in International Commercial Law in 2006. Besides following the Football World Cup in summer 2006 I was introduced to the Greek and Spanish secrets of how to combine work and leisure (i.e.good food, "Hollywood Road") in the most effective way during my stay at Westminster. Thanks go out to Andreas, Toni, Jose Luis, Giorgia and Ismini. Of course, not to forget the French influence by Jerome. I would like to say hello to Joseph Chioh for the constant documentation of the course and to Chengqiang Hou for his Chinese point of view contributions to all kind of topics. Currently I work as a senior associate with the Zurich based Swiss law firm of Thouvenin - Attorneys at Law http://www.thouvenin.com. We are a advising clients in all major areas of international commercial law. Our clientele consists of national and multinational companies, small and medium sized enterprises as well as private individuals. Thanks to Skype I am still in contact with the Greek and Spanish section. I can always be contacted via the Alumni.

Name: Hou Chengqiang Year of Graduation: 2006 Name of Award: Master of Laws (LLM) in International Commercial Law Hi, I am Hou Chengqiang, a previous course representatives of the 2005-2006 LLM in International Commercial Law. It was a very happy and memorable year to study with my pals in Westminster Law School. I miss all of you very much, in particular the lecturers Jason, Lawrence, Richard and my colleagues Jams, Joseph, AuraIe, Stephen, Yuksel, Mark, Hassan, to name only a few. I still remember going to the bars and Chinatown so many times with some of you. I am now an attorney at law in Chongqing Solton & Partners Law firm. We are the leading law firm in demotic and international commercial law in Chongqing. Name: Naji Hawayek Year of Graduation: 2005 Name of Award: Master of Laws (LLM) in International Commercial Law Hi, I am Naji Hawayek. I graduated with the LLM in International Commercial Law in 2005. I am now a Corporate/Commercial Lawyer at Clyde & Co in Dubai, one of the biggest International Law firm in the Middle East today! I have some photos of a dinner a few of us LLM mates had with Jason, the course leader, during my year at The University of Westminster. Name: Mette Olander Year of Graduation: 2005 Name of Award: Master of Laws (LLM) in International Commercial Law During my course at The University of Westminster, I lived at Alexander Flemming Halls in the beginning of the semester and subsequently moved to The International Student House based at Regent Street around Christmas. In 2005, I finished the Danish LLM and since then I have worked at Delacour Lawfirm in rhus www.delacour.dk my hometown where my major skills are Company law and Mergers & acquisi-tions. This summer I will be starting part-time at Aarhus School of Business to take courses in Business Economics. Name: Radoslava Vasileva Year of Graduation: 2005 Name of Award: Master of Laws (LLM) in International Commercial Law Hi, I am Radoslava. I graduated with the LLM in International Commercial Law in 2005. My closest friends were Carsten, Arta and Asha. We had great time going out and organising little dinners with our fellow students. My only regret is our unaccomplished adventure to Sweden. After I completed my LLM I did a stage with the European Commission in Luxembourg where I gained valuable experience and met a lot of interesting people. At the moment I am leaving and working in Luxembourg but I visit London quite often. I hope that we can meet together in near future. I attach hereto a few photos of my travels. Name: Asha Pillay Year of Graduation: 2005 Name of Award: Master of Laws (LLM) in International Commercial Law Hello! Im Asha and I completed my LLM in International Commercial Law ( as most of us on this website ! ) at Westminster in 2005. I had a great year and enjoyed every minute of my stay in London and at Uni (I definitely recommend this specialization to all of you who are still hesitating about whether or not to join!!). I developed a special interest for maritime law at Westminster, which prompted me to carry out a traineeship at the Mediterranean Shipping Company in Mauritius which was simply a GREAT exposure to this amazing field!. However, I am at present working as Legal Research Officer for the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights / State Law Office back home (Mauritius). I can be contacted via the Alumni.

Name: Apitha Stephane Year of Graduation: 2005 Name of Award: Master of Laws (LLM) in International Commercial Law Hi, I am Apitha Stephane I graduated with the LLM in International Commercial Law in 2005. My biggest pals are still Brown Ansley and Asha Pillay. When I was a Westminster, one of my most memorable stories is "where is the north" as we always got lost in and around London. I am now a Trust and Company Administrator for TurnStone Trust and Securities Limited we provide Trustee services. I still enjoy travelling and I am planning for my next trip to Japan hope that i save enough to be able to have a nice holiday in Japan. At Westminster, my favourite subjects were Marine insurance and Carriage of goods by sea as this reminded me of home.

I am Zeynel A. Tunc. I graduated with the LLM in International Commercial Law in 2004. I spent most of my time with Ayanna, Ozlem and Hussein. I had a great time at Westminster and still miss it! I recently left my previous job where I worked for one of the leading law firms of Turkey, Paksoy & Co. and I am now the Legal Counsel of Enerjisa A.S., a Sabanci Holding and Verbund company active in energy sector - Enerjisa is set to be the market leader in electricity sector by 2015. Name: Ivan Meriakri Year of Graduation: 2004 Name of Award: Master of Laws (LLM) in International Commercial Law Hi, my dear friends, I am Ivan Meriakri. I graduated with the LLM in International Commercial Law in 2004. I am very glad that I had met in the university people who will be always in my mind and in my heart. I am now Head of Legal Department of Trade House Russian Oils Ltd., which produces on its three oil extracting plants and trades various seed oils. At Westminster, my favorite subjects were International Tax Law, Payment and Trade Finance Law, International Trade Law, Foundations of Business and Dispute Resolutions Law, Carriage of Goods. The knowledge I acquired in Westminster is very helpful. I can be contacted via the Alumni and would love to hear from all of you and see all of you in Moscow where I am working and living now. Name: Virginia del guila Year of Graduation: 2004 Name of Award: Master of Laws (LLM) in International Commercial Law HOLA everyone! My name is Virginia del guila, I am from Argentina and I graduated with the LLM in International Commercial Law in 2004. I had the greatest of times at Westminster, finding extremely interesting persons and wonderful and lasting friends and colleagues. I will never forget running down about three floors of stairs in order to buy some coffee, run to the toilette, have a cigarette outside and chat with my friends in the 2 and a half minutes break that Professor Richard Earl allowed us!!! (whom by the way I regard as an outstanding Professor who charms students with his admirable clarity and sharpness). At Westminster, my favourite subjects were Conflict of Laws and Competition Law. Today, I quit smoking and I am an associate at Bouzat, Rosenkrantz & Asoc Law Firm, where I specialize in corporate law, M&As and antitrust law. I am attaching a photo of myself today, and in the following days I will try to attach some more of the excellent time I had with my Westminster friends.

Name: Francesco Tundo Year of Graduation: 2006 Name of Award: Master of Laws (LLM) in International Commercial Law Hello everybody, I am Francesco Tundo. I completed my LLM in International Commercial Law in 2005 with a dissertation on International Trade. I am about to complete my LPC having taken electives in Commercial Law, Commercial Dispute Resolution and Advanced Property. I should start my training contract in the near future even though I am considering working for a while as paralegal before embarking on a career as a solicitor. I have very good memories of the days at Westminster with my international friends and I regard that period as a very constructive experience in my personal and academic life.

Name: Ainsley Brown Year of Graduation: 2005 Name of Award: Master of Laws (LLM) in International Commercial Law Hi, I am Ainsley Brown. I graduated from the International Commercial Law LLM in 2005. My biggest friend from that program is Stephane Apitha and we are still good friends. I am also still in contact with a few people from the program, such as Asha Pillay, Cassten Lexa, and Naji Hawayek, just to name a few. I would love to hear from any and all from my year. The best stories from Westminster usually involved some adventure with Stephane Apitha for example: where is north? Ainsley, what am I doing to do?? Cervezas..too many stories and if you didnt get the stories dont worry. they are all funny. As for what I am going now, I am in the middle of the qualification process in Canada (Ontario). Hopefully it will be done soon.

Name: May Bai Year of Graduation: 2004 Name of Award: Master of Laws (LLM) in International Commercial Law I graduated with the LLM in International Commercial Law in 2004. When I was a Westminster, my favourite subjects were Dispute Resolution and Legal Aspect and Finance of International Trade. I have one photo taken in La Defense when I travelled in Paris, the business centre of Paris, also a gathering area of outstanding law firms. Now I am working in Lovells, a leading English Law Firm, in China. When I recall the one year I spent at the University of Westminster, my thanks especially go to our course leader - Jason Chuah.
