TEFL Training Programmes
Central London (Regent)
October 2010 - July 2011
Fees for 2010/11
£990 (Year fee); Individual modules from £280-£430
Thinking of training to become an EFL teacher? If so, the University of Westminster’s Initial TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) Training course has been designed to provide the strongest possible foundation for your future career.
The programme of three linked TEFL training modules has been designed to address the shortfalls in current initial training. In particular, unlike other training courses each of our modules places an emphasis on equipping you with a comprehensive knowledge of your subject before you start teaching. We also provide you with the time to reflect and develop on your own with the support of peers. For these reasons you will be far better equipped to develop your knowledge before entering the classroom and make the most of your training before being assessed.
Recent surveys indicate that the majority of those who achieve a basic pass on existing courses are considered as needing further support when they finish - support that few schools can give. Our course specifically addresses this issue, not only by focusing on preparation and support, but also by providing long stretches of real-world classroom experience with genuine EFL students and by offering detailed exploration of a wide range of language areas.
“A unique and innovative course, which addresses many of the shortfalls of initial TEFL training”
