Course Content
Practical learning plays an important part in this course with hands-on experience of web and video production, digital electronic design and animation. At Year 3 (Credit Level 6) you take on an individual project of your choice. From Year 2 (Credit Level 5) you can choose between a communications pathway which centres on communication networks, or a 3D graphics pathway which develops your skills in 3D animation.
Being used by media companies, such as digital television and digital audio broadcasting.
Year 1 (Credit Level 4)

Sandwich placement year
A one-year placement in industry can be taken between Year 2 and Year 3 (Credit Levels 5 and 6). This gives you practical experience in the workplace and a competitive edge in the job market. It contributes to your professional development towards Incorporated Engineer status
Teaching and Assessment
You will receive advice and support from supervisors and other members of staff, all of whom are available to help you achieve your aims and get the most out of your education.
Associated Careers
There are excellent opportunities for you to find employment in the broadcasting and expanding Internet broadcasting industries requiring a multi-skilled engineer able to handle both technical and production roles. This degree was designed with the direct input of major employers such as the BBC and Channel 4.
