Information & Software Systems
Welcome to the Department of
Information and Software Systems (ISS) at the University of
Westminster. We are a team of experienced academics who enjoy the
everyday challenge of keeping up to date with the latest technology
and using that knowledge to provide an excellent education to our
students. We teach high quality computer science courses backed up
with cutting edge research and offer a technology
consultancy service to industry and local
companies. We have Computer Science courses at many levels:
Foundation, undergraduate (BSc), and both research
(PhD) and taught postgraduate (MSc). We also offer short courses in
many and varied technology specialist areas from programming
in languages such as Java, C++, C# and Ajax thru 3D Studiomax
and Macromedia Flash to Linux and UML. Our research focuses on
addressing information and software system engineering challenges
with practical solutions and is supported by the Centre for Information and Software System
Engineering (CISSE, pronounced KISS). Our technology
consultancy, ISS Consulting, uses the ISS department members' expertise to help and
support local companies with their technology needs whilst also
working with larger technology companies.
So, do we have anything to offer you? Please take a
look around our website and get in touch with us if you have any
questions. We look forward to hearing from you."
