Biography
David Banner joined the UOW in 1997 initially as a Visiting Lecturer bringing his corporate and consultancy experience in HR and organisation behaviour of over 20 years into his teaching. He is now full time and has taught mainly on postgraduate programmes, currently running two MBA modules, and he is Course Leader of the PG Dip/Masters in Management. David is also the current Liaison Tutor for the CFS and BABA courses at Westminster International University of Tashkent.
Teaching
David teaches postgraduate modules on Organisations and People Management and on Leadership and Professional Development, where he seeks to enthuse students through a varied and interactive learning process, and he particularly enjoys designing workshops/weekends to develop the management skills of students.
Research
David has an interest in assessment and development centres.
Consultancy and professional practice
David maintains consultancy links, mainly in central Government, where he is able to experience real world issues relating to selection, assessment and development. He is active in local CIPD and IOD branches. He is asked to review numerous books in human resources, organisational behaviour and change management by a number of publishers.
