The new purpose-built Financial Markets Suite (FMS) exclusively utilises the Bloomberg platform for the purpose of providing a state-of-the-art teaching and research resource. Students, staff and researchers gain firsthand exposure to technology widely adopted in all the leading global investment banks in the major financial centres of the world: the City of London, New York's Wall Street and Tokyos Citibanks.
With globalisation of the finance market along with corporate developments, organisations require rapid, accurate and sophisticated in-depth analysis. There is a global need for well trained financial specialists in the industry. With the introduction of the FMS, WBS students using this facility gain knowledge and life-long skills in a real-time market driven environment. The Bloomberg platform is a service of choice for many professionals in the financial services industry. It provides the real-time and archived financial and market data, prices, trends, news and analytical investment tools that students need to make informed decisions about the financial and business problems they encounter in the classroom and in their chosen careers.
