Interest and expertise

  • Signal Processing, Control Engineering, System Modelling, System Theory.
  • Nonuniform-sampling-based digital signal processing for high frequency signals (up to GHz range) and / or low sampling rates; Digital Alias-free Signal Processing (DASP).
  • Optimisation methods for signal and system analyses including design of control and signal processing systems.
  • Modelling of electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, thermal systems and processes for industry, research and designers.
  • Artificial intelligence in signal and system analysis.

  • Development of Tools for Direct Digital Alias-free Processing of RF and Microwave Signals with Demonstrations of their Application Potential DASPTOOL, funded by EU, Apr 2002 - Mar 2005.
  • A System For Measuring Quality of Voice and Data Transmission over Telecommunication Networks, funded by TCD and DSPG Ltd, July 2000 - Aug 2004.
  • Control Simulation Package of a Conveyor Belt, sponsor: SORTEX Ltd, Aug 2003 - Oct 2003.
  • Actions Providing Access to DASP Technology for Digital Designing of Microwave and Radio Frequency IST Systems EURODASP, funded by EU, Oct 2000 - Dec 2002.
  • The 2007 DASP workshop was organised jointly by the University of Westminster and Institute of Electronics and Computer Science. It took place at the University of Westminster on 17 April 2007.
