This is the follow on course from Level 3 Professional Diploma In Law and Practice. This course is completed over two academic years on a part-time evening basis.  

Course content

From the range of University of Westminster CILEx (formerly known as ILEX) Level 6 courses on offer (set out below) and in order to obtain the qualification, you are required to pass (in no particular order) six Units in total, namely:

One Practice Unit and it's Linked Law Unit

Any other two Law Units

Client Care Skills and Legal Research

Within each academic year, you should attempt to complete three Units. For example, 2 Practice and/or Law Units + either Client Care Skills or Legal Research.

Teaching Semesters Commence week beginning Monday 1 October 2012.

Semester One

1 October – 7 December 2012; and 2 January – 11 January 2013.

Semester Two

14 January – 22 March 2013; and 15 April – 3 June 2013.

Please note there will be no teaching on public bank holidays.

Fees

£1,750  (For two Units from Units 2 to 18, plus either of Unit 22 or 23).  
£700 (For each of Units 2 to 18)
£300 (For each of Unit 22 and 23 if taken in isolation).

In addition to paying our tuition fee, you will be required to pay CILEx:

  • a registration fee;
  • examination fee in respect of each exam/assessment you are sitting; and
  • purchase the mandatory ITC manual in relation to each unit of CILEx study.
