Executive Coaching and Leadership Development Programme
This programme provides one-to-one or team-based executive coaching and leadership development training for managers and executives in the private, public and voluntary sectors.
Delivered by University of Westminster chartered occupational psychologists and human resource professionals, the programme helps organisations and individuals achieve their best possible performance by applying continuous learning and improvement strategies to their work and personal life.
The programme is flexible, convenient and can be tailored to meet your specific needs. Services offered by the Executive Coaching and Leadership Development Programme include:
- One-to-one or group executive coaching
- Short company-tailored courses in specific areas of executive/leadership development
The individually tailored coaching programme could be designed to, for example, support top performance, help correct underperformance or support executives in times of change. Coaching is used to help clients address both private and professional challenging issues, and achieve long lasting positive change. Our coaching team has worked with clients in the public and private sectors, including large governmental organisations, blue chip companies, other academic institutions and national trusts.
The duration of individual coaching programmes depend on the client’s requirements and coaching objectives but, as a guide, the typical duration for such a programme would be between six to 12 months. Leadership development training (for groups of executives or managers) would normally be organised over the period of one to five days.

Collaborative learning
Collaborative learning can support personal and professional development, and also builds coaching and mentoring skills in your organisation. Using current organisational issues, outputs include improved listening, critical enquiry and coaching skills.
Facilitated group meetings with up to six voluntary participants are held over an extended period of time (six to 12 months in duration). The programme can be focused on an individual or organisational benefit, such as improving customer service, implementing change or overcoming resistance to change.
We question and examine taken-for-granted assumptions and ideas, and reflect on existing knowledge, current contexts and previous experience to create new opportunities for learning. Our emphasis is on reflective practice, combined with support, to improve personal development planning, supervision, appraisal techniques and develop coaching and mentoring skills.
All learning materials are provided. The programme can be delivered in-house or at the University of Westminster.
The process
Facilitated group meetings are typically held every month to six weeks, for half a day. Over a 12-month period, this amounts to a six-day investment of time.
We recommend no more than six participants per group. Group members are usually individuals, although ‘pairs’ can be involved where there is a close working relationship. Participants are usually at a similar stage in their careers and are from different sections/departments of the business.
During the course of the programme, participants complete a learning log/journal and produce an individual personal development plan.
