ABE Alumni newsletter
This is the first of our annual alumni newsletters, which are designed to keep you in touch with what is going on in the School of Architecture and the Built Environment (ABE). We are launching the newsletter at our graduation ceremony in order to acknowledge the achievements of our most recent alumni, but I hope that the contents are of interest whatever era you studied at the School.
With a major refurbishment underway at the Marylebone Campus, new courses coming on stream on a regular basis and the launch of Build Up (our short course and consultancy unit) there is a lot going on in the School. At the same time, the new changes in Higher Education sector instigated by the coalition government mean that everyone in the sector is facing an uncertain future. With buoyant recruitment, rising scores in league tables and new facilities, we believe that ABE is in a strong position to deal with these changes, but we do need the support of our alumni to get the word out about the reputation of the School and, hopefully, the message that you had a great education here. Over the coming year we intend to launch a series of alumni events as well as a more regular series of open events to which you are all welcome. We hope to capture more of your email details so that we can keep you up to date. At the end of this newsletter, there are details of how to stay in touch and the more general alumni services that the University offers. Finally, if you have feedback on this newsletter or ideas about how we can better connect with our alumni and professions, please do contact me direct on j.till@westminster.ac.uk
