Network for Languages
The department of Modern and Applied Languages at the University of Westminster is delighted to announce the launch of Network for Languages London from 1 April 2011.
Network for Languages London is part of the national Network for Languages, created in order to build on the achievements of the Links into Languages programme at the end of its period of DfE funding and closure of the programme on 31 March 2011, following the government's decision to give greater autonomy to schools in matters of professional development.
Led by universities with outstanding commitment to language learning and teaching that previously formed the network of links regional centres, Network for Languages is committed to:
- excellence in language learning and teaching from school through to university and/or into the workplace
- building on the achievements of Links into Languages in championing language teaching and teachers, delivering resources and creating networking opportunities for language professionals
Network for Languages London provides professional development and support for languages teachers in primary and secondary schools and further education colleges through offering high quality CPD courses, workshops and conferences, delivered at the University and in venues across London.
All courses are modular and can be tailored to the meet the needs of a range of customers, including primary and secondary schools, senior management teams, teachers, local authorities, as well as private organisations.
Our aim is to provide high quality courses, which address your priorities and needs. We are happy to coordinate courses so that they can be delivered at your school or centre, at a time convenient to you.
