HEFCE regulation
The Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) became the principal regulator of higher education institutions as charities on 1 June 2010.
In accordance with HEFCE, this page provides information on the University of Westminster's charitable status.
The University is incorporated under the Companies Acts as a private company limited by guarantee not having a share capital, and is an exempt charity under the Charities Act 1993 as amended; view the Exempt Charities (No 2) Order 1996 (SI 1996/1932).
